![]() So this are the steps I took (it works!) -Įnter chrome://settings/passwords in your browserĬlick on the 3-dots dropdown to show the "Export passwords." option Generally Google didn't remove the function (yet), it's just hidden. I found a really simple way to import the exported csv file back into chrome (no flag need to be enabled, no terminal or permanent changes, it's really simple). (untested, as i don't own a Mac, but that seems to be the syntax to pass Chrome start parameters on the Mac) Type open /Applications/Google\ Chrome.app -args –enable-features=PasswordImport In the target section just add the parameter –enable-features=PasswordImport to the end of the line. You can however still enable that feature simply by starting Chrome with the paramenter –enable-features=PasswordImportĬreate a Chrome shortcut on your desktop. ![]() Sadly that option was removed in Chrome 76 and any subsequent Version. ![]() Up until Chrome 75 you could go to chrome://flags and set a flag called #PasswordImport to Enabled which would add a 2nd option to that 3 dot menu, simply called Import that allowed you to do exactly what you would expect. ![]() There is however no obvious way to import such a file in case you had to reinstall or switch machines, so how the hell do you get all of your Login Data back into Chrome? You can find a list of all your locally stored Logins/Passwords under: chrome://settings/passwords.Īt the top right of that list is a 3 dot menu that allows you to 'export passwords.' into a CSV file. ![]()
